Beekeepers of Wilkes County

The Beekeepers calendar.

September - This month is an important time to check honey stores, in our area it is advised on a normal size colony go into winter with one medium deep of honey 50-60 lb. A small luggage scale can be used to pick up on the back of the hive to get an ideal of the weight of your colony.
